      Best practices for GLUCUBE measurement

      Instructions to follow to ensure a correct glucose measurement

      When taking a glucose measurement with GLUCUBE device, it is very important to follow a series of instructions to ensure that the measurement is carried out correctly.


      Instructions before the measurement

      • Sit so that your back and arm can be well supported:

      • Rub your hands and massage your finger to warm it and increase blood flow to it.

      • Avoid awkward positions of both your hand and finger that can prevent the correct flow of blood.

      • Keep your smartphone at a distance of between 10-20 cm from the device to ensure a good connection.

       

      • Make sure you have an internet connection during the measurement.
      • Make sure your hands are clean and dry before taking the measurement.


      Finger placement for measurement


      To ensure a correct measurement, it is important to repeat the placement of your finger inside the device as much as possible. Please note the following instructions:

      • We recommend using the RING finger of either hand. If you have any problems with signal detection, you can also use the index or middle finger.
      • Insert your finger until it stops against the tab at the end. Make sure that the tip of your finger properly covers the bottom window of the device.

      • The hand and finger should be relaxed. Do not apply pressure with your finger.

      Make sure you do not insert your finger too far:

      Make sure you cover the entire bottom window:

      • Do not use your thumb or little finger.
      • Avoid using nail polish or false nails as they may affect the measurement.
      • Deformities, calluses or injuries to the fingers may interfere with the measurement detection.

      These images are a simulation of the inside of the device. Never try to remove the casing. Position your finger as indicated, by touch.

      Instructions during measurement


      The measurement consists of 3 steps, for more information: GLUCUBE measurement.

      During the 20 seconds of measurement you must follow the following instructions to ensure an optimal result.

      • Remember to keep your hand and finger relaxed.
      • Avoid moving your hand or finger. Any movement can affect the results.
      • Keep your breathing calm, avoid forcing your breath or yawning.
      • Avoid talking.

      If the measurement obtained was not valid, this will be indicated by a warning screen.
